FAQ – Questions about

Address in general

You do not have your own office space for your company

Do you work from home, on the road or in a coworking space? With a domicile address in Zurich, your company is easily accessible for mail from Switzerland and abroad. Mail addressed to your company is delivered to the domicile address in Zurich and reliably forwarded to you with our domicile service. A domicile address protects your privacy. If your company address is the same as your private address, a domicile address ensures that you do not have to publish your private address. In addition, a Swiss domicile address in a prestigious location in the city of Zurich creates trust.

You need a delivery address in Switzerland

In proceedings before Swiss authorities and courts, you may be obliged to designate a domicile for service in Switzerland if you are resident or domiciled abroad. In this case, reliable forwarding of postal items is essential in order to be informed of any deadlines in good time.

Our domicile address can be used by companies (such as stock corporations (AG), limited liability companies (GmbH), general partnerships and sole proprietorships), associations, foundations and private individuals.

Yes, you can use a domicile address for your private mail. There are various reasons for using a domicile address for private purposes: You are staying abroad for a longer period of time and need a delivery address in Switzerland or you live abroad and are asked by a Swiss authority to designate a domicile for delivery in Switzerland.

The letters “c/o” stand for “care of” and are used to indicate that a consignment is to be delivered to a person at a specific location, even if that person does not live at that address or a company has actually rented office space there. It means “for the attention of” or “at”.

A domicile acceptance declaration is a document with which the domicile provider (in this case the domicile address in Zurich) confirms to the commercial register office that it will grant the domicile to the domicilee. The declaration of acceptance of domicile must be submitted to the Commercial Register Office so that the domicile or the address entered in the Commercial Register can be changed.

The declaration of acceptance of domicile will be sent to you free of charge by post when you book a company address.

No, we will not write to your company. The fact that you have a business address with us is stored electronically at the post office (sub-address) so that your mail can be received by us.

Yes, your mail can be received by us and forwarded to you, even if a different address is entered in the commercial register.

The decisive factor for a company’s tax liability in Switzerland is not the registered office or company domicile entered in the commercial register, but the place of actual management. The principle therefore applies: The company is taxed where it has its economic and effective center of gravity.
